Carlton Manor
believes that troubled children can best be healed through the efforts
of caring, well-trained staff and volunteers. To accomplish this goal
we seek to attract and keep dedicated volunteers who share our mission
and commitment to troubled children. How can YOU help? Can you give an hour or two a week to help a child?
Carlton Manor is expanding its Volunteer Program and invites anyone
with a caring heart and a few hours of time to join us in giving children "A Better Chance." Join
our ABC team. Below are just some of the ways
you can enhance a child's life. TUTORING: Once
a week you will assist a child with his school work, or read with him.
You will provide educational help but even more you will have an opportunity
to make a child who is struggling feel important and worthwhile. CRAFT
PROJECTS: Are you someone
who likes to work with your hands and have the patience to teach
others. Many of our children enjoy coloring, painting, and putting
together projects. CULTURAL
ENRICHMENT: You May have
a skill or talent that our children would love to learn. Many of
our children are interested in playing musical instruments, some
are highly artistic. Could you help the group with a special project,
or give lessons to an aspiring member of a rock band? FUND-RAISING
COUNCIL: Are you someone who has
a few hours, is organized and enjoys meeting new people? Could
you help us develop our fund raising capability to help us be less
dependent on governmental funds? RECREATIONAL
ACTIVITY ASSISTANTS: Do you
like the outdoors? Do you enjoy team or individual sports? Many
of our children dream of becoming professional athletes. Other Needed Services
