Residential
Services:
Our therapeutic group homes provide a wide variety of innovative
therapeutic group activities designed to promote and enhance each
child's self-esteem, emotional development, and educational achievement.
In addition to providing 24 hour care and supervision, our dedicated
staff strive to develop the trusting relationships and bonds necessary
to help children understand and work through the behavioral and
emotional issues requiring their temporary out of home placement.
Highly structured individual skill building activities and goal-oriented
group work teach age appropriate skills in the areas of communication,
anger management, problem-solving and responsibility. Many of
our children experience success for the first time in the therapeutic
group home program.
Individual and family therapy address barriers to positive parent/child
and family relationships. Children spend every weekend and holiday
with their families in order to strenthen these critical relationships
and practice new skills designed to foster family empowerment
and enhanced self-reliance. Psychiatric services including assessment
and medication management are provided onsite by our consulting
psychiatrist.
Weekend programming is available for dependent children in the
custody of the Department of Children & Families providing
supervision, recreational and skill building activities, and counseling
until the child is able to be placed in a foster home.
